with an all-American line-up. Not surprising, if you've been following the activities of this young alto sax player. The drummer Terri Lyne Carrington
also participated on Postma's successful album A Journey that Matters
(2007) for instance. And during her concert at the North Sea Jazz Festival, the energetic drummer will also play her part. Postma will attend with a quartet in which pianist Geri Allen
will also appeal to the imagination of many; she knows Tineke Postma well because of many collaborations. Bassist Scott Colley
is the only man in the line-up; he has played with great names like Carmen McRae, Dizzy Gillespie and Joe Henderson. In the past few years, Postma has built up an extensive international network by touring intensively outside of the Netherlands. She was in Indonesia, Japan, Germany, France, Israel and Vietnam, among other countries. At North Sea Jazz, Postma will present her latest CD. She has recorded it in New York, this spring, with the same line-up that will be present at this festival.
