NN North Sea Jazz Festival postponed until 2021

The Dutch government has just prolonged the ban on large events as a measure against the spread of the corona virus. Unfortunately, as a result we are forced to postpone our festival until next year. We are obviously very sorry about that, but at the same time agree wholeheartedly with any measures that are necessary to stop the virus as well and quickly as possible.

Preparations for the NN North Sea Jazz Festival were well on their way. We dedicate ourselves to the festival with much enthusiasm every year and were looking forward to celebrate the 45th anniversary together with you. Festival director Jan Willem Luyken: “We could see it coming, but now it’s official: no festival this Summer. Which is regrettable, but seeing the current circumstances it is, of course, the only option. Together with our partners, visitors and artists, we are going to do everything in our power to make the next NN North Sea Jazz Festival unforgettable.”

It may be soon, but we are already thinking about the festival in 2021. The new dates have been selected: we hope to celebrate NN North Sea Jazz at Rotterdam Ahoy on July 9, 10 and 11. Tickets remain valid; all ticket buyers will receive an email with detailed information about this as well as about ‘Save your ticket, enjoy later’, the industry-wide initiative we support. You can also find information on our website here.

We wish everybody the best in these insecure times and want to especially thank the many people working hard to overcome this crisis. We are in this together!
