Madeira Avenue
This year, Madeira Avenue will host an exhibition by a number of different Dutch artists where material and abstraction are central in a relationship with nature and the landscape.
The relationship between modern visual art and jazz is evident. Not only in their own traditions and how both have developed, but also in each other's reflection. Different styles and rhythms, completely new expressions that push the boundaries and ultimately come together again in new compositions and proportions. Sometimes rough and searching, then refined and well thought out. But always with a purpose, coherence, composition, story and as an expression of freedom.
