Singer Queralt Lahoz is without doubt one of the biggest Spanish sensations of recent years. With her powerful voice, she mixes traditional flamenco and urban influences in an intriguing way. Soul, hip-hop, jazz, trap and dancehall merge organically with the Andalusian poetry form copla and the bolero. Lahoz's music is rooted in tradition, and springs from a family tree of working-class women, forming a bridge between past, present and future, which lends her music an unmistakable character. Her debut album Pureza received rave reviews from the domestic press, and was rated one of the best albums of the year. Lahoz has previously performed at ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) and the Vive Latino Festival in Mexico City, the most important rock and alternative festival in Latin America. In 2023, she received the prestigious Music Moves Europe Award.
