Botswana-born and Australian-raised xmunashe seamlessly fuses jazz and soul with poetic lyricism, resulting in a cross-genre experience. Hailing from Perth, he picked up drum lessons at school and played at his local church. At age 15, he began learning piano and it was after moving to Sydney that he became seriously involved in making music. After exhilarating sell-out shows in Australia, mostly due to word-of-mouth and social media, xmunashe continues his musical journey into Europe with special live performances. At the heart of these sessions is the art of improvisation, resulting in a raw musical conversation that unfolds between the musicians en the audience.
