Jama is a singer-songwriter from Brazil who has distanced himself from his ancestors to focus on his artistic search. Born from parents that worked in dance and theatre, he grew up in Brasilia, a city made up of immigrants and their folklore. Incorporating the latter in his music, Jama’s work is filled with self discovery and wanderlust themes. Collaborating with Cape Verdean, Venezuelan and Antillean musicians, he broadens his influences all the time.
