Timbazo is a vibrant supergroup who are capturing public attention everywhere they go with their concoction of Cuban timba, jazz and salsa dura. The band’s lineup is a unique collective of outstanding musicians and vocalists from every corner of the globe, with members coming from as far afield as Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Germany and The Netherlands. Founded by Nils Fischer, one of Europe's leading Latin percussionists, Timbazo returns to the festival to present their third album, Otra Idea Más, which features new material by the legendary Cuban poet, composer and arranger Tony Pérez. On this recording, the band collaborated with icons such as Isaac Delgado, Alexander Abreu and saxophone legend Paquito D'Rivera. Otra Idea Más follows the success of ¡Gracias Joe Cuba! and Rumberos a Montón, both of which were voted best salsa album of the year by the international press.
