Born in Austria and now based in the Netherlands, trumpet player and bandleader Lampert brings together ‘five voices that move as one, yet never settle’. His Jakob Lampert Quintet lives in the space between structure and freedom: modern jazz with a deep groove, shaped as much by silence as by sound. The quintet has played on various stages across the country, including at LantarenVenster in Rotterdam last year.
