Two visionary pioneers of modern jazz – Miles Davis and John Coltrane – would have turned 100 in 2026. To celebrate their enduring legacy, two of today’s most influential bandleaders are joining forces for an exceptional concert. Trumpeter Terence Blanchard (1962) and saxophonist Ravi Coltrane (1965) are deeply connected to the spirit and tradition of those jazz icons. Ravi Coltrane is the son of John and Alice Coltrane, and Terence Blanchard has such an impressive track record that he embodies the essence of creativity and freedom – concepts that also defined the artistry of Davis and Coltrane. This tribute is not a nostalgic reenactment, but a bold reinterpretation. Each concert becomes a compelling experience, rooted in the legacy of Davis and Coltrane while remaining firmly anchored in the present. All this is achieved together with Charles Altura (guitar), Julian Pollack (keyboards), David Ginyard (bass guitar), and Oscar Seaton (drums).
