Wherever PARRA. DICE happen to play, the nine-strong female/non-binary collective always seem to effortlessly connect, stir the senses, and above all get their audience up and moving with their captivating, swinging performance. The collective dreams of a world free of restrictive genres, labels or other unnecessary pigeonholes. The formation has a special lineup with three horns, a violin, and an extensive rhythm section, and creates an energetic sound in which styles effortlessly come together and get everyone in the crowd up on their feet. The band's sound resembles something of a musical world tour, and builds on layered melodies, driving bass lines and percussion-driven grooves that weave into an enveloping colorful tapestry. In recent years, PARRA. DICE also made a powerful impact at festivals such as Wildeburg and Eurosonic/Noorderslag in addition to their sold-out club shows, and last year the band also took the next step internationally, with performances in Germany, and a tour across Indonesia. This year, it’s finally Rotterdam’s turn to let loose!
