John Legend is, along with solely eighteen other people, a member of the very select EGOT club. EGOT consists of artists who have won all the four most important awards in the American entertainment industry: the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. John Legend has managed to accrue no less than thirteen Grammy Awards, in addition to an Oscar, a Tony, four Emmys and also a Golden Globe, displaying his versatility as an artist. Since Legend conquered the world in 2004 with his debut album Get Lifted, he has made a series of successful records, the most recent being My Favourite Dream from 2024. He is also the co-founder of the production company Get Lifted Film Co., and made a name for himself with his portrayal of the title role in the NBC production Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.
