Although a French group,
NOLA French Connection Brass Band was actually formed in New Orleans in 2017 by eight Parisian musicians. After they made a first appearance on Dan Meyer’s show on WWOZ, the legendary New Orleans radio station, they were rearing to go with their blend of funk, hip hop and (Dixieland) jazz – and the world was waiting. Back in France, the band performed a series of concerts, including an opening gig for Hot 8 Brass Band. After they released a first album of original songs in 2017, they took off on a festival tour across French territory. Their latest album
Busking Our Way was released earlier this year.
