The Nest is BIRD’s annual residency program, now in its fifth edition. Four emerging artists create new music together there for seven days, supported by mentors. The new work is presented on various stages, including as a try-out at BIRD and at NN North Sea Jazz. The program is deliberately curated around a diverse mix of artists from jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music, aiming to generate unexpected new collaborations and sounds within an underrepresented scene.
