British artist Siena Spiro has pretty much everything it takes to become a star: a fantastic voice – warm and a bit smoky – as well as great timing and diction you’d expect from a highly seasoned jazz singer. What’s unusual though, is that Spiro is only in her early twenties. As a child, she would listen to Etta James and Frank Sinatra, as well as hip-hop from around the turn of the millennium, and all these influences can be heard in her songs. Since Spiro released her first single Need Me in May 2024, she has amassed over 1.5 million followers on TikTok, and can count some big names in music among her fans, such as SZA, Snoh Aalegra and Mark Ronson. In early 2025, her debut EP Sink Now, Swim Later was released, which featured the single Die On This Hill that reached the top ten of the UK charts.
