With blond curly locks akin to those of Robert Plant, and the beefy riffs of Jimmy Page, it's hard not to think of Led Zeppelin when you’re watching singer-songwriter Grace Bowers up on stage, although her music also evokes the funk feel of Sly Stone and Parliament. This 19-year-old prodigy from Nashville learned the ropes through stints in local bars, and was inspired by blues heroes such as B.B. King. She made her breakthrough when her videos went viral during the pandemic. In the years that followed, she has shared the stage with Dolly Parton, made her late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and performed on the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on her 18th birthday. In 2024, Bowers released the critically acclaimed debut album Wine On Venus, and was named Instrumentalist of the Year by the Americana Music Association Honors and Awards, with Rolling Stone proclaiming her “Nashville’s new guitar hero”.
