Trumpeter Blanchard, from New Orleans, is a force of nature: a Grammy-nominated bandleader and composer, creator of two operas and more than 80 film scores, a veteran of the jazz scene, and now artistic director of the important jazz institution SF Jazz. He's also sideman with Herbie Hancock. He has a lot to tell us of his career and experiences and will do so during this interview with Ashley Kahn.
