First wave of acts NN North Sea Jazz Festival 2024

Sting, Anouk & Metropole Orkest, Black Pumas, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone and Vulfpeck will perform in Rotterdam this year. Just like Brittany Howard, Candy Dulfer with special guest Jonathan Butler, Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram, Ibrahim Maalouf, Lizz Wright, Mahalia, Masego, Sampha, Raye and Tems. The event boasts a strong representation of jazz greats, featuring Avishai Cohen, Joshua Redman and John Scofield & Dave Holland

The festival presents a number of special jazz projects. Such as the new quartet of tenor saxophonist Chris Potter, pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist John Patitucci and drummer Johnathan Blake. And Something Else! with Vincent Herring, Binker Golding, Jeremy Pelt, David Kikoski, Paul Bollenback, Essiet Essiet and Lewis Nash. Cuban pianist and composer Chucho Valdés celebrates the 50th anniversary of his Afro-Cuban jazz company Irakere. And Shai Maestro performs with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw.

As usual, the festival also introduces new emerging artists. This year, Amaro Freitas, D.K. Harrell, Kymara, Lander & Adriaan, Laura Misch, Lawrence, and Veronica Swift make their debut in Rotterdam.
