‘Warming up’
for North
Sea Jazz
Before you enjoy the festival lineup indoors, there will be a musical surprise awaiting you outside the Ahoy entrance.
On Friday July 6, German Top Dog Brass Band will warm up the audience before the start of the official indoor program in Ahoy. Calling themselves ‘the funky drum band from East Germany’, they hail from Dresden and will excite every listener with their cheerful, funky jazz music.
On Saturday, it’s up to the children of the Rotterdam Brass Band School. The Caribbean brass band mostly makes swinging salsa music and is sure to get its audience to move their feet.
Tokyo Chutei-Iki will be opening the program on the last festival day. With thirteen alto saxophones and no other instruments except vocals, the Japanese group puts on an outstanding show.
