Codarts Big Band plays Moacir Santos conducted by Ilja Reijngoud

The Codarts Big Band, consisting of students from the Rotterdam Conservatory, will play the repertoire of Moacir Santos during the festival. This Brazilian composer has had a great influence; his best-known songs are Nanã and Coisas. Santos' style is characteristic and he has composed a lot of film scores. The orchestra is conducted by Ilja Reijngoud, who's also a soloist on trombone. Other soloists are Lilian Vieira (vocals) and Jasper van Damme (saxophone).
