One month before the publication of the full program and timetables of the Port of Rotterdam North Sea Jazz Festival 2014 more names can be announced. Amongst others Robin Thicke, Quincy Jones and CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers have been added to the line up of the festival.

The festival also announces many jazz greats, upcoming and estanblished: Mehliana featuring Brad Mehldau & Mark Guiliana, Sons of Kemet, Kenny Garrett Quartet, Dirty Loops, Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society and John Scofield Überjam.

The Metropole Orkest present a few special projects: Joshua Redman Quartet with Metropole Orkest Strings conducted by Jules Buckley and Robert Glasper Experiment with Metropole Orkest conducted by Vince Mendoza on Friday and on Saturday The Metropole Orkest Big Band plays Quincy Jones: "This is how I feel about jazz" conducted by Jules Buckley.

The composer, producer, artist, arranger and bandleader Quincy Jones is present in person to present and introduce his proteges Nikki Yanofsky, Alfredo Rodriguez and Andreas Varady to the audience.

Booker T Jones, Benjamin Clementine, Buika, Paloma Faith, Electro Deluxe, Allen Stone and Neneh Cherry & RocketNumberNine will also perform at the three-day festival.
