The Port of North Sea Jazz Festival announces 22 new names. Pat Metheny & Ron Carter, Joe Bonamassa, Miguel, Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, Anthony Hamilton and Vintage Trouble are just a few of the acts that have been added to the program.

On Friday July 8 Flying Lotus’s Brainfeeder Record Label showcases some of their finest - Kamasi Washington, the current jazz sensation who will perform music from “The Epic” with the strings of the Metropole Orkest and a choir. 2016 Grammy Winner Thundercat, Kneedelus, a live collaboration between Kneebody + Daedelus and new Brainfeeder signing Jameszoo performing his Quintet for the first time ever at North Sea Jazz.

Dr. Lonnie Smith, Hiromi: The Trio Project feat. Anthony Jackson & Simon Phillips, Steven Wilson, Jacob Collier, Con Brio and Cécile McLorin Salvant with The Aaron Diehl Trio are also confirmed. Salvant received a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album only last week. 

Furthermore, the audience will be able to see Henri Texier Sky Dancers 6, Kenny Barron & Dave Holland, Charles Lloyd New Quartet featuring Jason Moran, Reuben Rogers and Eric Harland. Cory Henry The Revival & The Funk Apostles, Steve Lehman Octet and The Jones Family Singers perform as well.
