Today North Sea Jazz announces the first names for the North Sea Jazz Festival.
Santana, John Legend and Sting will be headlining this year's edition. Besides them Dionne Warwick, Medeski, Martin & Wood and Branford Marsalis Quartet will also perform during the three days indoor festival at Rotterdam.
Further confirmed are Kenny Barron Trio, Mala in Cuba, Michel Camilo & Tomatito and John Zorn, who will bring a special birthday marathon ‘Zorn at 60’, including Song Project, Illuminations,The Holy Visions & The Alchimist, Templars, The Dreamers and Electric Masada.
Also performing at the 38th edition of the North Sea Jazz Festival, will be Bettye Lavette, Charles Bradley, Ibrahim Maalouf, Dee Dee Bridgewater & Ramsey Lewis and the Roy Hargrove Quintet.
The complete line-up and the time schedule will be announced at the end of April. The ticket sale of the regular festival tickets will start at February 1st at 10 AM. The festival will take place at 12, 13 and 14 July this year.
