The Dutch Jazz competition presents

The Dutch Jazz competition presents new, top jazz bands and musicians at the North Sea Jazz Festival Once again, the North Sea Jazz Festival will be the arena for the final of the biennial Dutch Jazz Competition.
Held in even-numbered years, this contemporary Dutch jazz competition presents the top talents among (new) jazz bands and musicians and subsequently offers them the opportunity to promote Dutch jazz at home and abroad. The 2010 Dutch Jazz Competition is marked by the admission of all types and formats of jazz music. During the final on Saturday July 10 in the Volga hall, an international jury will judge the four finalists. Along with the Sena Prize for Best Group, the winner will receive funding for several days recording at a well-known studio, a tour and entry into the preliminary round of the 2011 EBU European Jazz Competition, among other things. The former winners are: The Blazin’ Quartet (2008); the Franz von Chossy Trio (2006); As Guests Quartet (2004); Agog (2002) and Jamesz with guest Izaline Calister (2000).
