About Amos Lee
Amos Lee is a no-fuss honest singer. Give the guy a guitar and
he'll sing his intimate, meaningful songs in a warm, unpolished
soul-voice. For a year or two Lee has been one of the most
important new cross-over, soul, folk and country voices. With his
self-penned, singer-songwriter style songs he attracts a broad
audience that adores his sensitive, outspoken and most of all
romantic approach. The career of this musician from Philadelphia,
who used to be a primary school teacher, rocketed after singer
Norah Jones had asked him to open up for her during her European
tours. Jones and her boyfriend, bass player Lee Alexander also
contributed to the title-less debut album that was released in
2005. On his second CD, Supply and Demand, that was released last
year, he developed a more solid and varied sound including elements
from rhythm & blues and gospel.
