About Jerry Gonzales & Los Pirates Del Flamenco

Jerry Gonzales who performs with Los Piratos Del Flamenco, obviously is not Spanish descent, but he is a musician who adored flamenco so much, that he emigrated to Spain to completely absorb this style of music. Earlier Gonzales became widely known with the Afro-Cuban music of the Fort Apache Band, but his urge for new things finally took him to flamenco guitarist Niño Josele, with whom he engages in exciting musical dialogues. The band played a prominent part in the movie Calle 54 and that’s how Gonzalez became relatively known in Spain. And whoever listens to this intriguing music, understands why.
